MFC wildland firefighters contained a 600-acre wildfire in Attala County caused by equipment. CAUTION: Never park hot equipment/vehicles on dry grass. Use power tools in the AM. One spark starts it all! #PreventWildfiresMS #MSForestry

🔥 Heads up, Mississippi! Fall wildfires are starting to pick up. This was a 3-acre wildfire in Tate County that managed to destroy a horse trailer and an abandoned car. This is a stark reminder that even small fires can cause significant damage. https://t.co/lrSNbAlW2E

What an incredible day at the first Saluting Branches Day of Service in Oxford! MFC had a blast working alongside 110 volunteers to beautify the grounds of the Mississippi State Veterans Home. It was our honor to give back to the veterans who have given so much for our country.

🔥 MFC responded to a 7-acre wildfire in Alcorn County this past Friday. It was caused by an escaped debris, the leading cause of wildfires we fight. Even a small fire requires a full response. Please, be mindful of humidity and dry grass when burning. #Msforestry #OnlyYou

Fall is here, and so is the threat of wildfires. Never leave a fire unattended! A small spark can quickly become a major blaze, especially with dry leaves and wind. Help us protect our forests and communities. Learn how at https://t.co/lrSNbAlW2E.
