I’m a physician, and I would literally do anything to avoid being on a prescription drug. My nightmare is to have to show up at the pharmacy every month and pick up drugs. Absolute last resort only. Will exhaust every other possibility before that happens.

@SBakerMD They do not even have any safety data past 4 years on the drugs in trials, and the results after 4 years of continuous semaglutide use are ~10%. So a 300 pound patient loses 30 pounds to reach 270 after 4 years of side effects and ~$60,000 billed to insurance.

My thoughts on US medicine can be summed up in a few words: Emergency care: Awesome, wouldn’t be anywhere else in the world. Chronic care: Total and utter crap. Completely sold out to Big Pharma. Huge percentage of interventions and drugs useless.
