This is the third time Wayzata has earned a podum finish at NXN, joining the girls National Champions in 2013 and the boys National Runners Up in 2014. Those three squads are the only Heartland teams since 2004 to podium at NXN (that 2004 team was the 3rd-place Yankton SD girls).
