On July 17, 2025, Memphis experienced strong storms with 40-50 mph winds that knocked down 13 utility poles at Shelby Drive and Getwell. At the outage peak, 8,317 customers lost power. Crews worked diligently to fix the damage. Restoration was completed by 7/19/25 at 1:20 a.m.
