36 years ago today, 7 astronauts lost their lives as the Challenger Space Shuttle failed shortly after launch. Among them was Dr. Ron McNair, MIT PhD '76, and the second Black astronaut in space. We remember and honor him today & every day. @ScienceMIT @MITAeroAstro @MIT_Physics
