Well said. You shouldn't let someone else's beliefs influence what you think of someone. You have to go into every room with an open mind and a positive attitude. You don't know what someone has been through or are currently going through. See them for who they really are.
Some advice I’d give to anyone navigating the paranormal community: If someone, (no matter who they are), volunteers negative information about a person you’ve never met or worked with directly, hold off on forming an opinion. Wait until you’ve had your own interaction with that
