depression feels like a stone on my chest pulling me down into the mattress into the floor making every movement heavy every thought slow the world turns grey and distant things I once loved lose their colour and the voice in my head tells me to stay small to give up

anxiety feels like fire under my skin my heart racing faster than my thoughts can catch a restless buzzing that never quiets every sound too loud every silence too sharp the voice in my head picking apart every detail asking if I said too much if I did enough if I failed again
