The Manteno girls volleyball team - led by junior Maddie Gesky - was solid throughout a 25-15, 25-21 victory over host Seneca in Thursday's Class 2A regional championship match. It's the first postseason title for the Panthers since 2017.

Coal City defeated Herscher 7-2 as Manteno defeated Chicago Christian 1-0 in the IHSA Class 1A Coal City Sectional semifinals on Tuesday, Oct. 28, 2025. The Coalers and Panthers will meet in Saturday's championship game.
