RIP to MHS Alum and BSC SuperFan Derrick Snowden... may he rest In peace. There isn’t a better person in the world than Derrick. He had the biggest heart in the world and only cared about the kids. He will be sorely missed.
❤️ Derrick
Derrick,
As kid who never missed a day of Middle or High School, to becoming the voice of Milton Sports for over 30 years, thank you. This town won’t be the same without you. You won’t get the service you deserve today, but you will be dearly missed.
May you Rest In Peace. ❤️
Very big congratulations to Owen McHugh! He was named the Boston Globe Will McDonough Male Athlete of the Year!
McHugh was an All-Star in 🏈, 🏒 and ⚾️ and won 2 ⚾️ State Championships, as well as a Super Bowl run last fall!
He will be playing 🏈&⚾️ at Williams College!

To all of our student-athletes,
Please do not gather at the fields with other teammates to practice. If you want a season, please adhere to social distancing as much as possible! Work on things by yourself just for a few weeks. We know you miss it, we miss it too.

Milton High School is excited to announce the hiring of Nick Bligh as our next Boys' Varsity Hockey Coach for the 2023-24 Season. Coach Bligh is a 2012 MHS Grad and went on to play 4 years at Dartmouth College before spending 6 seasons between the ECHL and AHL.
Baseball is
#1
in DII right now. After a foul ball in a close game with Stoughton, a player from each team raced to get the ball. They then laughed and ran back to their dugouts.
Moral of the story - they are still kids, having fun. Parents and spectators remember that.
Congrats to our three student-athletes who signed their DI Letters of Intent today!
Charlie Walker, Northeastern, Baseball
Norah Affanato, Loyola U Maryland, XC & Track
Brian Foley, UMass Lowell, Baseball
We’ll have one more signing next week!

Girls Cross Country joins the boys and takes home the Division III Eastern Mass title! Top ten finishes by Ava Duggan, Norah Affanato and Anna Cakourus! What a last kick by Anna!
Would have loved to have been a fly on the wall for this conversation! Two great coaches that have done amazing things for our community!

On January 18, 2019, MHS recognized Derrick Snowden for 30 years of service. Derrick was the biggest supporter of the MHS Football and Basketball Teams and was inducted into the MHS Hall of Fame in 2016. He sadly passed away in March of this year.
A very big thank you to
@wildcatnationAD
for hosting tonight.
Thanks for Keith Schleicher for announcing!
Thanks to our Band and Cheer Squad!
The parents and alumni who came out to support the team!
Last but not least, a HUGE thank you to our student section!
Onto Gillette!
Not a game has gone by that the Milton High Athletics Community hasn’t though about Derrick. Crazy to think a year has passed. We can all still hear your voice.
RIP Derrick ❤️

Wildcats finish the season undefeated at 7-0, beating Newton North 34-15, behind a great second half! Monster performances by Barros and Samuels!
The gym is a little bit quieter without him. Only fitting that we aren’t allowed to announce starting lineups this year. Someone knew if he couldn’t do it, no one could.
Since beginning coaching at Needham in 2013, we have never been to the
@MHS_Wildcats_
gym without our guy Derrick greeting all of us with the biggest, most genuine smile and hug. Today’s game at Milton is for you old man. We miss you every day. But tonight more than ever.
We love the Milton High School Class of 2020! Even with school closures, our Seniors have given back to the community in so many ways and we thank them! Thank you to the
@MiltonBoosters
for making these signs!
In case you missed it, our very own Ben Kelly was named MIAA Golf Coach of the Year!! Congratulations, Coach!
Thank for all you do for our student-athletes and those in the State of MA!

@MiltonHigh_MA
Though not involved or impacted by this decision, this is tough to read. Find me someone who would have been opposed to you getting in the Tourney (besides the MIAA). Total mishandling of the situation at the expense of students.

Cats were down 20 points early in the 2nd quarter to rally back and win! Great defensive effort in the second half and a great game from Frosh Victoria Fish!
@mattyfeld612
No disrespect to Millis. They get to host a prelim game. Good for them, that’s what the ranking does. However, it is crazy to see them ranked
#26
at 0-19 and O’Bryant is ranked
#28
at 17-3. We need to adjust formula to make wins a factor. You can only play who you play.

Congrats to our 13 Seniors!
Many of which a part of the Varsity Team for 3 straight 17-3 regular seasons, 3 Bay State Conference Titles and a State Title. Great students off the diamond as well!
