The concert closed with a collaboration that blended the two genres of music in an original adaptation of “Cucurrucucú Paloma🕊️” a Mexican huapango-style song written by Tomás Méndez Sosa in 1954 and made popular by music greats like Pedro Infante and Lola Beltrán. ❤️

In February, we hosted our annual Valentine’s Day serenade, Viva El Amor, with special guests, MECA alumni & mariachi music star, Vanessa Alonzo, accompanied by Trio Chapultepec and Jazz songstress, Ermelinda Cuellar, accompanied by pianist Bob Henschen and Thomas Helton on Bass.
