The 3-year-old has started saying "Whoops-a-Daddy" whenever I do something like knock something over or bump into something. The 2-year-old is joining in. So that's fun.

A lot has changed in a year! Wrapped up the first year in Dubai. Looking forward to the summer, seeing friends and family then coming back out to do it all again!

This photo basically sums up life at the moment. A lovely dinner together. Child 1 dancing with a bread roll in his mouth. Child 2 hiding under the tablecloth. Still, won’t go down the road of phones/iPads at the table. That’s a hill I will die on.

I always say take a good book when you’re on holiday

Walk out of hotel room to go to the pool with family. Turn around and see son number 2 has decided he wants to bring the room phone to the pool! 🤦‍♂️

Go to Netflix menu. “Daddy, I see Peppa pig. But Peppa pig isn’t working on our TV.” “Yes, that’s right son.” I know they say you shouldn’t lie to your children, but sometimes exceptions have to be made.

Term 2 back in Dubai done! Privileged to work with such great colleagues but ready for a holiday! Now for our first ever holiday as a 4. Phuket awaits!

Numberblocks is a magical TV programme. Eldest loves it and wanted me to build all the squares for him. We talked about each number and why it was a square. Such a great way to learn maths!

One of my favourite things about living in Dubai is making everyone back home jealous of the amazing weather.

Eldest child’s favourite activity at the moment: “Daddy, tell me a story about Jack and Shaun the sheep and the number blocks and all my family and the gruffalo and a friendly giant and a scary monster.” (Or variation of this) Really testing my creativity…

World Book Day. The day that I'm reminded of the classic novels such as: Mario, Messi, Elsa, Sonic, Paw Patrol, Ronaldo, Iron Man. Some of the all time greats.

Incredible to think that for most of my life a Calcutta cup win was seen as something totally unobtainable. Now it’s par for the course!
