Back in the pulpit today after a two-month sabbatical. Appreciative for my time spent with family and friends, and the opportunity to focus on my doctoral project. HOWEVER, I am glad to be back behind the “sacred desk” this Lord’s Day!

Preaching a funeral for an Elder Emeritus today. Currently finishing my notes, and I find myself thankful. Mr. Jack’s faith was rooted in Christ and his life produced much fruit. His funeral has written itself. There is great motivation in dying well.

Today’s accomplishments: . 1. 3 mile run.2. Weight training .3. Wrote 18 pages of doctoral project.4. Cut down a tree. Add the daily grind of personal Bible reading and family worship, and I would say it was a full and good day.
