Wax cylinders are antiquated audio recordings made of thin brown or black wax. 🎞️ @MDPI_IU met a major milestone by digitizing about 7,000 cylinders.

The Indiana University Bicentennial celebration is this Saturday Sept. 28. Come early to the IU Auditorium to see university archival footage digitized at MDPI and compiled by our own Darrell Myers. Archival screening starts at 9am. #IU200 @IUBloomington

A great article on a "modern artifact of amateur filmmaking heritage" recently digitized at MDPI. We are incredibly excited to see what other artifacts are out there to be discovered and shared.

With the help of a $1.2 million grant from The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, @iulibraries will develop an Audiovisual Metadata Platform with the ability to search digitized audiovisual files.
