• Debris can be placed in a single pile. • The collection of debris will be announced and communicated with the public.

o Do NOT place on roadway that will become a hazard to traffic. • The City of Conroe and County will allow time for homeowners and VOAD (Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster) teams to address homes and move debris items to the appropriate location.

Debris pickup will be available to Montgomery County and City of Conroe residents who sustained damages from the recent floods. • Homeowners seeking debris removal are encouraged to submit a damage report through iSTAT and indicate debris removal for debris to be collected

These ERVs will distribute necessary cleanup supplies to residents who need them. All residents who had damage to their homes are encouraged to report damages through the state iSTAT damage survey.

The site is planned to be operational over the next several days as residents begin recovery. Additionally, areas that were impacted may see Red Cross Emergency Response Vehicles (ERV) driving the roads.

This site will offer water, meals, and cleanup supplies. The distribution site will open tomorrow January 1/29/2024 at 11:00am and will be located at the River Plantation CIA building. 451 River Plantation Dr. Conroe TX 77302.

In coordination with the American Red Cross and Salvation Army, Montgomery County is opening a distribution site for residents who sustained damages from this past weeks flood.

Our office remains in contact with the Weather Service and continues to monitor the situation. We are pushing additional information to all of our county wide agencies and local school districts to provide real time situational awareness. Stay weather aware today and be careful.

Remember to turn around don’t drown. Should warnings be issued or if we start to see roadways impacted by flooding we will update as needed.

⚠️⚠️ Montgomery County is under a flood watch through Wednesday. We expect another round of rain today and some of this rain could produce locally heavy downpours. 2-4 inches likely across the area with the potential for higher amounts in areas experiencing training.

There are currently no threats of flooding downstream as a result of these releases. Our office is monitoring this release, and will remain in close contact with the SJRA on duty operators until Lake Conroe is back at its normal level of 201 ft.

The current level of Lake Conroe is 201.49 ft. The current release level is 2128 cfs. SJRA manages Lake Conroe storm releases any time the normal “full” level exceeds 201 ft. above mean sea level (msl).

Status Update from SJRA: The San Jacinto River Authority continues to closely monitor the rainfall in the Lake Conroe Watershed. SJRA operators are on duty, and will remain on duty throughout this weather event to monitor conditions.
