Rudolf Uhlenhaut was head of the racing department and later on the board of Daimler-Benz. He developed the legendary 300 SL "Gullwing" (W 198) based on the racing car. Today would have been his 115th birthday. Happy birthday Rudolf! #MBclassic

The SL model series R 107, built from 1971 to 1989, can be called our evergreen! Its clear lines were designed from the outset for a long life and have not lost their appeal to this day, the roadster looks like an automotive monument. #MBclassic #yearoftheSL
