He looked to identify participants who did not benefit from a “typical” exercise suggestion, then adapted the intensity at which they were exercising to see if their body’s response to glucose could be improved. (2/4).

Past research has been crucial to helping us understand the real impacts of tobacco and the powerful benefits of quitting smoking. Large longitudinal research studies such as the MTP may help drive future discoveries. (3/4).

Quitting smoking is one of the best things you can do to improve your health! The positive changes begin very soon after quitting and include healthier blood pressure and pulse rate, decreased coughing and sinus congestion, and reduced risk of cancer, heart disease. (2/4).
