-Lock It Up: Always lock your car, even if you're only leaving it for a minute. Double-check all doors, including the trunk and sunroof.
-Remove Valuables: Don't leave valuables in your vehicles. Purses, electronics, weapons, and money make easy targets for thieves.
Our continued efforts to roll out our take home vehicle program; seven additional officers have been assigned their take home vehicles. This program not only helps with recruitment and retention but also helps with lowering maintenance costs and extending the life of our fleet.
Working for the Myrtle Beach Police Department is more than just another day in the office — it is the opportunity to make a difference in your community!
After weeks of intense training with their K9 handlers we are excited to be adding two new K9's to the MBPD! Please welcome:

School is in session and school zone speed limits are in effect. While traveling to and from work or any destination in the morning or afternoon please be mindful of school zones and increased traffic near schools.
Stay alert while driving and please respect posted school zones!
Share the Road: For drivers, be extra cautious around motorcycles. Check your blind spots, and give riders plenty of space.
Remember, safety is the key to keeping the adventure going. Check twice. Save a life!
