I can understand why people love “Scandi socialist utopia does it better” stories, and I wish more of them were true (some are). But the housing situation in Stockholm is just as savage as anywhere else.

I am happy for this man but this story is completely misleading. Uppsala is in no way “Stockholm”. Nobody arriving in Stockholm is getting a rent-controlled flat without being on a waiting list many years. Even if they do it won’t cost anything like £630.

Daniel Watson from Clydebank is enjoying life in a rent-controlled home in Sweden, which has had rent caps in place for decades.

Very much enjoyed Michael’s book, and for a change asking him some questions that weren’t “what do you think about bebra?”

Scotland’s media so needs this. I for one totally support it. Get behind it any way you can. A simple RT would be a great start - 👇Further calls to Culture Secretary for a public interest journalism institute - The Edinburgh Reporter

Springsteen’s 2024 tour dates didn’t have surge pricing to my understanding, and were reasonably priced (I got a standing ticket for about £70) so fair play to him.

Like most people it seems, I had a bad/unsuccessful experience this morning (and afternoon) trying to get Oasis tickets. Reminded me of this @BigIssue piece I wrote last year about Ticketmaster/Springsteen. Even angrier about it all now than I was then. https://t.co/xFiOEFzGQ8

In the 00s, I was in the world's best and most forgotten indie punk band, We Are The Physics, and I've written a whole book about what it's like to be a massive international failure. Unbelievably, it's being printed, and you can now pre-order it from @LNFGlasgow - link below.

Masters of War is a muted, cerebral, gritty and authentic depiction of the endeavours of the Bloody Hundredth during WW2. 🛫 Author, Donald L Miller tells @MBJack about the long weekend he spent with the show’s “really great” exec producer, Tom Hanks. 📺 https://t.co/KxD98BMAfj

Loved talking to Sofie "The Jumper" Gråbøl and Søren Sveistrup about Scandi crime drama classic The Killing for The Guardian's How We Made. Interesting to hear neither of them were against idea of bringing show back some day... you heard it here first! https://t.co/lG53hROB2N
