Just fired up my Kantronics KAM and it still works! Entered "MYCALL" expecting it to say G7WLR (my old c/sign) but it said my former RAF Air Cadet squadron callsign. I remember now, we used it for HF data comms. Must have been last used in 2001. What to do with it now though?.

Summer 2020, I built a yagi to detect meteors, receiving reflections from the space radar in Graves, France. This led to my journey into the world of amateur satellite comms. Anyway, I've resurrected my meteor detection project. Here's a few of the juicier pings from last night.

Just put two new @Seagate #IronWolf 6GB HDDs in my @Synology DS218 NAS to replace the old IronWolf 3GB drives which have run faultlessly for 41698 hours (4years 9months). How long 'till the new drives are filled up?

Just worked DL5GAC in Federal Republic Of Germany 🇩🇪 (Gridsquare: JN47UT / distance: 530.4 mi) on FO-29 🛰️ using SSB #hamr #cloudlog #amsat. This was my first QSO on 🛰️FO-29 since April 2023 😱 the satellite was sounding great tonight.

and so, the third and final performance has come to a close. What a terrific week it's been and the year 6s bow out on their time at @castle_primary on a high. So now it's time to throw the main breaker for the last time. until the next show. 🎭

Turning out to be an expensive month. Only a few Gig of space left on my 3TB NAS, so new HDDs needed. 2x6TB drives came today to double the capacity.

2nd night and the children cranked the energy up another level. Looking forward to the final show tomorrow but it will be a shame when it comes to an end. The departing year 6 children will have added incredible memories to all the others from their time at @castle_primary.

Back at @castle_primary running the sound and lighting for their Year 5/6 production of @MLMusicals "Shakespeare Rocks". First night of three and boy, the cast absolutely knocked it out of the park tonight, a truly fantastic performance!
