After a long wait we finally get our monster battle. A fight between two similar-looking trolls. I do appreciate the way it's filmed. Makes perfect sense for them to use drone footage. But perhaps it wouldn't hurt to introduce some new fantasy elements in their second movie.

--there I know Japanese monster movies were really big in some European countries (which ones we can tell by the number of available movies, posters and so on). Right now I think they're putting the rest of us to shame. But Europe is still the bastion of gothic horror.

Even Gorgo is British-American (but so was Winston Churchill). There's Reptilicus, maybe a few other giant monsters in supporting roles but currently Norway is pulling the weight of the entire continent with 3 Troll movies and Kraken. I don't know if Godzilla was very popular--

Europe is a tough market with maybe a few countries with the tradition of liking giant monster movies. And even some that used to love them had a gap period when an entire generation decided they hate them and it's only been recovering recently.

Something which the video doesn't focus on are some of the last surviving props from 1954 Godzilla. What are they? We can call them the original 5: #1. Oxygen Destroyer #2. EF58 electric locomotive #3. Serizawa's diving helmet and #4. boots #5. M24 Chaffee tank wheels and tracks

I won't get it from God of War maybe I'll get a classic mythology movie from Disney's Hercules... just make an adaptation of the actual myth at this point. Ok you can skip the whole family murder thing.

When I wrote my article about the third secret Godzilla suit actor from 1954 promo photos I was met with some skepticism. The problem is some things are known so well in Japan that it's difficult to find sources for that which is ironic It took a while to make wikipedia change it

Photo on the left is beyond any doubt Katsumi Tezuka in what I think was the second take of the Diet building scene. But that tha person inside the suit in that famous photo with the umbrella is probably Eizo Kaimai is new to me. But it's great to know these things.

#1 OTACHI (Class IV) The one that survived the longest. And she had the most abilities being able to spit venom, fly and even give birth. One of the few that deserves a life beyond just that one movie.
