Seen some supposedly Everton fans giving
@ALANMYERSMEDIA
some horrid reply’s on here. 1st & foremost he’s a bloke, a fan & holds a great interest in football. Some of these horrid things people say are disgusting! He’s represented, cared for & stood up for us, be kind 💙
I’ll never forget wearing that padded yellow keeper kit as a kid when
@NevilleSouthall
represented
@Everton
in awe of the man. As a adult, I listen to the man speak, in the same awe as I was all those years ago. Forget politics, this should be preached. Diolch. Amen
I don’t know
@TomiCaws
personally but this I know, he does it bilingual, full of humour & no graces & has managed to help lots of clubs get exposure & lots of good football people in our area get noticed, heckle, be rude & berate all you like but I am impressed. Diolch yn fawr TL
We know that
@benjwinstanley
talks from the heart. We know
@ElBobble
obviously has more contacts than an optician but what was good on last nights space for me was hearing so many American followers of the blues. Football brings people together. Well done
@thebullensview
My Mrs a teacher. Works every night until 8pm. Works a few hours on a Sunday. Works half her holidays. Buys kids food/pens & coats out of her own money. I have sat in the car waiting for her as she waits for kids to be picked up, teachers deserve more.
#TeacherStrike
@ColinMurray
you really don’t understand your impact. You make fans laugh, you make fans think & your Questions for your guests, despite the humour really hit home. A credit to your profession.
People talk about mental health awareness & supporting others. This man is superb at individual man management skills & caring. Behind the passion, is proper principles, I owe the gaffer a whole heap.
@FlintTownFC
@CymruLeagues
very lucky to have him. This picture 👍🏻
Some peoples thoughts & rudeness toward
@JacquiOatley
on here disgusting. 1st women on MOTD, she even presented it! From Darts to football league to Radio she has won countless awards & done her coaching badges & she is a beacon for many young girls & boys alike! Inspiration 👏
Really annoys me people being rude toward
@LeeFMc83
on here. I don’t know him personally but he’s bin kind enough to reply to me. Man enough to speak up & I share his emotionally connection to our club. If you are being rude to somebody who cares then people behave. Thanks Lee
Very emotional watching
#Hospital
on
@BBCTwo
will never forget what they did for my in the
@LivHospitals
Royal Ward 5A & 5B. Incredible that they kept me alive as a 20 yr old with pancreatic disease, forever in their debt. I can’t help but shake my head & think back about it all
I hope
@fizzer18
gets the
@FA
job, forget football for a min, the mans attitude, stats & his winning mentality speak volumes. He will be a credit to
@England
& girls who are 5 to 17 now will benefit from the Skippers work. Best wishes to you & the family Skipper
Professor Chris Holloran of The University Of Liverpool (
@LivUni
) explains the importance of diagnosing Pancreatic Cancer early.
You can watch the full episode on
#ITVTonight
at 8pm
What a credit to
@htafcdotcom
@M_Hudson5
is! All his players so polite & so interactive. The HTFC analyst tonight very impressive too, coaching not only good footballers but good men too. Really enjoyable watch.
Superb from
@laura_woodsy
today, a credit to
@ITVSport
witty, interesting & really good points made. Come along way since her early days at Sky, somebody who little girls & boys everywhere should look to emulate. Look at how she conducts herself.
@LFC_L1V3
What a horrible thing to say. This is not about blue or red. This is about community. This is about an 80 year old red. A 12 year old blue in the City & all over the Uk. We must stand together to make football better. The only thing that’s relevant is togetherness. Spread love
For those who slate
@ptfcseasiders
Gaffer Neil Gibson as a loud mouthed, slightly aggressive bloke well let me tell you about NG you may not be aware of. Texted me Every Day when I was Ill, arm round the shoulder from afar & offers to help my parents. MORE THAN ⚽️
#RepayTheFaith
Home from hospital - give me a hell yeah!!!! 😋😋 on the NHS birthday all I can say is thank you to all at
@RoyalLpoolHosps
ward 5B for helping me live. Indebted & in awe. The F1s that the pancreatic team have at the minute deserve a lot of praise. 😢❤️ emotional much love
This is Danny, my friend who I met in hospital back when all my problems started in Glan Clwyd, he died on Wednesday, the Cancer took him. I’m heartbroken, he was the 1 person who I knew who understood all I go through. Rest easy bro. I will do all I can to stay well for you 💔
Very tough watch for me tonight
@ITVTonight
I was 20 years old when I first went to
@LivHospitals
& to watch this now at nearly 34 makes me very proud of
@DanKennedyFilms
& how
@PancreaticCanUK
and so many are giving their all for change. In gods hands 💜 the HPB staff are super
Hey
@NevilleSouthall
I am wondering if I can beg a kindness, I have cerebral palsy and Gastro paresis and I am really struggling to find work in North Wales, along the coast, I am learning Welsh to better my chances, also doing a creative writing course, can you RT to help me 👍
3 years ago today I had my pancreas removed & some of my bowel, pancreas disease still decimating my life, to all those people through football & friendship who have helped me I owe you beyond words. I will fight but I do struggle
Well I am 34 today. Where the hell has that popped up from. 34!! I feel about 24! Ageing is very surreal. Had an amazing year, no hospital visits, new job & new hobby, very blessed to have many wonderful friends all I ask is you take a look at
@PancreaticCanUK
& read the symptoms
Top read about the
@the_nomads
I give a lot of banter to
@AndyMorri5on
but you want him in the trench with you, I have a lot of banter with
@JayCatton
but forget the sport he is passionate about young people getting active & healthy, the club is a credit to our
@CymruLeagues
Find it a tad baffling that people seem surprised by
@seanyeardz3
@CaernarfonTown
over the last month or so! The team embody the Gaffer. Jovial, determination, able to take a wobble but most of all honestly entertaining. Instead of surprise why not give credit?
@WPL_Official
Club preference aside I hope those
@rhylfc
fans come out In force on Saturday for the Derby, let’s make it an event that the County & the local football scene can’t handle! Banter Few beers & great football, lots of children looking on at both teams thinking I want to play 1 day
Superb to read the togetherness
@Bangor1876
some good people there & some mentality. I’m an old romantic but it’s great for children to see stuff like this, it inspires them. In inspiration comes belief. Da iawn
@ALANMYERSMEDIA
Being told I was Everton disability Skipper for the first time by
@markelliott1878
as I got in the car to travel back to Wales. The 15 year old me, shivered with delight, gulped & looked over at my dad. EITC making dreams come true. ⚽️💙
Say it many times on here but
@gazevans1
is a top top drawer player in the Welsh Pyramid, cultured, hard working & most of all grounded, hope the younger generation take note of how he conducts himself
@CaernarfonTown
lucky to have him,
My biggest positive about mental health for me is football, it gives me joy, it gets my heart pumping & all the people I’ve met & come up against or played with have had a huge impact on me. It takes me away from having Cerebral Palsy & my pancreas problems & I deeply love ⚽️
Lookin forward to seein the
@ptfcseasiders
group tonight at training, big Friday ahead, will never forget the lads understanding of my Cerebral Palsy, coaching is a 2 way street of respect & built up relationship. I hope the lads know how motivated they make me.
#RT
#ThursThinkin
Forget football for a minute. This lad cares about others, has a superb memory & behind all the laughter & the frivolity is a seriously good bloke. What a dad too, so pleased for him. The
@FAWCoachEd
@FAWales
need to look after him. He has great ideas
@NoelMooney13
Feeling very pleased. I have passed my probation with DPD today. After being poorly last July & having to leave o2, it’s nice to be able to walk to work & I’ve really enjoyed it so far. I know the parcel jokes will come, My deepest hate is being a burden due to illness
#Graft
❤️
Special mention for young
@_LloydAlex_
this morning, maturity, audacity & football brain is growing all the time, but the most pleasing thing was to hear him talk about his love for his brother, family & how he wants to improve, what a credit to his parents &
@ptfcseasiders
💪
Incredible support & help on 5Y
@LivHospitals
In the Royal. Special mention must go to the Ward Clark. I’ve never seen a lady so observant, caring & switched on despite her job not being the medical side, the Sister should be proud of the staff! Very nervous as I prep for home
Proud & very lucky to be on the coaching staff of
@ptfcseasiders
Reserves this evening. All the lads effort leading up to tonight excellent. Poignant moment for me, I won’t let my pancreas problems stop me loving football & having a small impact on local players.
#Seasiders
Best Wishes to
@AndyMorri5on
with the
@the_nomads
Bin reading about him lots. His record speaks for itself, only bin In his company briefly & the odd Nod of politeness but he demands respect. I admire that. I love what he does for our league. I love his ambition, go well Sir 👍🏻
Always believe In
@NeilGibson22
& his staff. He took me a 23 year old with no real confidence & helped me feel & be a part of something & for every cone I collected, every ball I washed, every chat with players, there was always a lesson. 2024 will be positive for
@the_nomads
Despite today’s defeat, it’s still been a whirlwind 2023 for Connah’s Quay Nomads - a year that has seen so many positives, but also some heartbreak, which is inevitable in football🔴
Read the thread below to recap some of the key moments for the club this year🧵👇
Best wishes to
@Johnnyh17
a motivator, rough around the edges & tells you straight. I’ll never forget his kindness/ taking time to talk to me & his understanding of my cerebral palsy. I would love
@HolywellTownFC
to win it just for
@morgmurray
& Myles H. In respect comes reward
HATE people slating
@ptfcseasiders
gaffer Neil Gibson on here, yes hes brash, loud & passionate but he is so kind, he gave me, a lad with Cerebral Palsy, who struggled with his weight & who has pancreas disease every chance to learn & be Part of a team & help. Forever grateful 😳
Today is
#WorldPancreaticCancerDay
here I am after most of my pancreas was removed. I was lucky my pancreatitis & my polyps in my bile duct weren’t cancerous, a lot of men & ladies are not so lucky, please give to
@PancreaticCanUK
& look out for signs grateful to
@LivHospitals
💜
Any clubs on the North Wales Coast want a volunteer who’s worked with various FITC projects, disability & ladies ⚽️ worked with academy players & would love to help players concentrate on ⚽️ & be a good ear if they need a chat please get in touch I would love to help you. ⚽️🏴
Thoughts with
@ptfcseasiders
player
@alexrhysjones94
this evening, let me talk about the things people may not see, every arm round the shoulder, every help with my coat, every chat about coaching, a credit to his family & the
@ptown_massive
@Ptfcfans
a pleasure to see him grow
Start the new job tomorrow. Rest day today & takeaway later to celebrate how far I’ve come. Quite nervous but excited to be working with people instead of working from home. So lucky to have so many peoples support. I will never let my ailments win. All in the mindset 👍🏻😀
As a fan I have been to many
@EFL
grounds but must say
@dcfcofficial
stewards are always top notch & understanding with my Cerebral Palsy & so helpful when leaving the ground. These people being so observant makes the day so enjoyable.
#EFLDayofDisabilities
#WellDone
Would love nothing more than a
@CaernarfonTown
win today against that lot. I hope those lads give every ounce for
@seanyeardz3
& leave no stone unturned to beat them. I hope they realise how lucky they are to work under Eardz. Big day for his family. Best wishes pal.
Pleasing yet unsurprising to see people happy that
@NeilGibson22
is forging another group of youngsters careers. Gibbo does not only make footballers better but he moulds great people & enhances their life. I am product of that man management skill,
@FlintTownFC
on the up
#Gaffer
Today is World Cerebral Palsy Day & even at nearly 32 years old it still baffles & battles me everyday but without it I would of never achieved what I have. Born @ 26 weeks with a wonky arm & a limp, not doing bad. Thank you to you all for help & kindness & time for me❤️
Great to read of
@MIGGO14
success, local children along the North Wales coast must look up to him as a bench mark. From rainbow flicking me to an A Cert, not bad for a street footballer who was class at Kerby from Rhyl who has beaten heartache to become a champion 💪⚽️
#Respect
Hey
@KTHopkins
I’m 32 years old, I was born at 26 weeks, I have cerebral palsy, I have had epileptic fits, I have had most of my pancreas removed & I’ve had over 30 opps & have a 90% liquid diet, but I’m still smiling & I try & be as kind as I can. Please think before you tweet!
Really pleased to have my first shower with my NJ tube at home tonight & have no mishaps. It’s so nice to have so many people supporting me & sending me well wishes, I really do appreciate it & I will bounce back again
Great to talk to
@DanRoberts44
away from the pitch this week. To see a young man with such a kind heart do so well. We know he’s a good footballer but what a better bloke. It’s about coaching men as well as players. His understanding of my cerebral palsy 1st class, future skipper
Up & getting ready to go to Liverpool hospital, another year, another procedure, in 12 years I have had 16 procedures in hospital, no wonder my body is in bits, but I’m still Holding down a job, still volunteering & being as active as I can. Nobody does it alone 😉 I’m lucky
What a credit to the
@ptfcseasiders
@Ptfcfans
young
@Elliot_Lloyd
is btw. Humorous, passionate & speaks so well of the Club, a real huge future beckons, really think highly of his potential. I urge the fans to really get behind him
Hey
@BBCMOTD
just to explain how good
@EITC
are, they took me a 5 yr old with cerebral palsy & gave me skills, professionalism & friends & coping mechanisms, I left at 18, got a c certificate & coached all over the n west & with
@ptfcseasiders
@markelliott1878
helped shape me. 💙
Love this. I’ll never forget
@RuthinTownFC
@Toshmiester
talking things through with me, arm round the shoulder, talking about life, if you have any need to talk, please do. I’ve learnt that being more open has Helped me recover from dark days
Really big few weeks for
@DanRoberts44
forget football this lad has grown up as a man this year & to see him playing with a smile is so important I know the
@ptfcseasiders
@Ptfcfans
@ptown_massive
love him & I know how capable & reliable he is, baller... ⚽️
Heart breaking to have to tell the lovely manager at work, my loved ones & the Dr over the phone that I’m not well enough to work right now. These tablets making me so drowsy. Feel very flat. Must listen to the body & bounce back again, chronic illness is a lot of crap.
To see so many of the
@ptfcseasiders
lads who have come through the Academy sign up today makes me feel proud of my work as a club coach, maybe not as much on the pitch but I hope off it I have helped to mould good men with manners & understanding of loyalty, ❤️ the club so much
I immersed myself into
@ptfcseasiders
deeply, not easy when you don’t drive or you didn’t know people but over the years those miles didn’t matter & those people become friends those
@Ptfcfans
&
@town_massive
became people I grafted for! I feel proud of the small impact I’ve had
Lovely today to go speak to the
@fc_abergele
goalkeepers before the game & they both said thank you & how much they enjoyed their session I did for them a few weeks back. Thanks goes along way.
Asks a lot of you, asks a lot in difficult times, demands a certain attitude, demands a certain tempo away from the grass, Gibbo’s methods are the reason people graft for him but hold in him in such high regard!
@FAWales
@FAWCoachEd
need to look after him. ⚽️
So it’s the 1st game of the season for
@ptfcseasiders
tomorrow. I feel so lucky that Gibbo has me in & around his dressing room & hopefully other people with Cerebral Palsy & other disabilities are inspired to do the same & get involved. Lots of noise
@Ptfcfans
@ptown_massive
Very proud man this evening, bodies on the line & more importantly lovely to talk to
@the_nomads
coaching staff before the game. Great game of football & a showcase of talent on show. The future is bright for
@ptfcseasiders
❤️⚽️
Feeling strong & well enough to try & play football again this week is testament to the weight loss & graft I’ve put in. More exercise I do the better I will feel. Must stay positive & give it a try.
Thinking of all the staff at
@FlintTownFC
not easy seeing one of your own hurting & in pain but Dixy will need your humour, your togetherness & your friendship, I know
@MIGGO14
will inspire you all & bring you all together + the NHS will give him top Care
