Checked the mail this morning since there was lightning last night. This seems like a rip-off. I ordered craft sponges to finish decorating envelopes, but they’re super flat! Maybe they’ll puff up when they’re out of the packaging later tonight. 🤞

Aww! A parent just messaged that her daughter came home & said, "I'm using a work computer like you, Mama!" So cute!.

"We didn't believe you when you used to say you were old. You didn't have gray hair. Then you said, 'You can color the gray,' and we didn't think you were the type to color gray hair. Wow! You've been gray all along!" 🤣. (Uh, make that blinding white. Haha!).

"When we last saw u, you had dark brown hair.". "I liked your hair better the old way." (That's fair. Different strokes for different folks. But it's growing out of my head, and as long as I like it, that's what matters.) 😀. "We didn't think you were really letting it go gray.".

My new entertainment is listening to 4th graders complain about my hair. LOL! I'm not offended. It's pretty funny, actually. Today was my 1st day of bus duty in the bright sunshine. I saw a lot more 4th graders today & tons of them gasped, "What happened to your hair?!" 🤣.

Meanwhile, the skills trainer happened to pop in and heard me mutter under my breath: "I need chocolate!" Haha! She came back with a handful of Rolos for me. LOL! Love it! 😍.

Today's momentous occasion: the 1st time logging onto Chromebooks as 3rd graders. That means no more holding up a badge. We type in usernames & passwords. It takes FOREVER on the 1st try. I have to say, the kids tried their best and didn't give up!.

This morning's spider drama at home: The huge one from the other day did wind sprints bright & early but froze when I looked up from my phone. 👀Then it did a lap around the living room ceiling while I ate breakfast. Couldn't reach it. It finally ventured down towards the. .

You know what I just realized? No one used slang words today. I never heard bruh, rizz, sigma, skibidi rizz Ohio, etc. That's kind of miraculous.

The new reading curriculum taught us all a big college word today: anthropomorphism (animals having human qualities). I honestly never heard of that word before previewing the unit. Kids could provide examples of it for frog and toad from our story!.

This was a cool surprise to find on my podium this morning! I even wore the button after discovering it.

Another funny moment: I deliberately had the escape artist help demonstrate a math game with me today. (No escape attempts today, BTW!) Each person decides if they want the Dino Dare on their turn. The kid taught me a new rhyme: "I'll risk it for the biscuit." 🤣.

One funny moment: a kid entered the classroom for the first time ever and announced, "You need to know that I'm a very smart boy and I pretty much know everything." The kid does not lack self-confidence. LOL!.
