Lifeboat launched this morning to assist a small fishing boat that had suffered an engine fire, meaning it was disabled 7 miles south of Lyme Regis. Once on scene the crew assessed the vessel & towed it to the safety of Lyme Regis harbour.

Friday morning our lifeboat launched on service to a yacht with engine failure close to shore near Seatown. Once on scene our crew found the vessel hard aground. With the sailor off the boat & clear of any danger we left the incident in the hands of local coastguard teams.

Sunday afternoon as we were finishing our annual Blessing Of The Boats service we were tasked to reports of a paddle board being blown off shore. Persons from all incidents were found safe & well. 2/2

A busy weekend for our volunteer crew. Saturday morning we were tasked to assist @DWFireControl with a beach hut on fire. Sunday morning we joined @dorsetpolice & local coastguard teams in the search for a missing person. 1/2

Lifeboat launched on service yesterday (Sunday) afternoon after a member of the public contacted Solent Coastguard with concerns for a paddle board on the rocks near Golden Cap. Our volunteer crew carried out an extensive search of the area but found nothing. Shout #7 of 2025.

The crew launched at 09:06am 10 Dec to 2 casualties & their dogs, cut off by the tide at Golden Cap. All were fit & well but in need of assistance. It was decided to take them via the lifeboat to Lyme Regis. The lifeboat returned to harbour at 09:42am & was met by @HMCGLymeRegis

Xmas dinner awards went to 4 crew who have passed out as fully trained: Maria Barbashina, Cris Cadby, Andrew Barker & John Cable. Crew’s crew went to Petrina Muscroft, Bent Prop trophy to Seb Cope & tractor driver Andrew Rice, a volunteer for 38 years, received a special award

The Cobb Arms provide a complimentary hot meal to crew after training. The tradition from 1993, has been recognised by @RNLI in a letter of thanks signed by the Chief Executive Peter Sparkes. The letter was presented to landlord Gary Valentine by Lifeboat Ops Manager Mark Colley

The lifeboat launched at 16:40 yesterday to a couple cut off by the tide whilst walking in Charton Bay, 3 miles west of Lyme Regis. @sebcope managed to position the bow of the boat on the shore due to favourable conditions & took the couple to the station & @HMCGLymeRegis

A former Lyme Regis crewman celebrated his 100th birthday with members of the crew, family & friends on 29 Oct. Fred Day, from Uplyme, was honorary secretary 1987-1994. 3 senior members of the current crew presented him with an inscribed tankard commemorating his achievement

Lifeboat legend John Hodder presents King's Coronation medals to 16 Lyme Regis crew who were gathered at @LymeRegisFC yesterday afternoon (13 October). Shortly after the medal presentation their pagers sounded to search for a missing fossil hunter.

Crew welcomed 7 friends on Sunday as they completed their hike along the historic Liberty Trail from Ham Hill near Yeovil to the Cobb in Lyme Regis. This was the 5th time the ‘Boots to Boats’ group has competed this walk raising £730 for the RNLI through sponsorship & donations

What a weekend. Our star bucket collector, Joshua Denning, was awarded @itvwestcountry Pride of Britain Fundraiser of the Year. We had a visit from the @RNLI_911 Challenge, Lastly, local chef & food writer @GillMeller cooked mackerel burgers outside the station in aid of @RNLI

Lyme Regis RNLI welcomed a new face to the lifeboat station this week when Dave Knott (65) was appointed to join the station’s team of Launching Authorities. Mr Knott, a retired businessman & yacht owner moved to Lyme Regis from Reading in 2021 with partner Maia.
