When we look at the power of Community especially on IDAHBT, we have to shout out Pride In Luton. Run by LGBTIQ+ residents for LGBTIQ+ communities in the town. Well can't wait to celebrate and join their protest on the 14th June. After all Pride is a protest!!.

Across the town more residents will be holding VE Day Street parties this weekend. This was Hartley Road on VE Day in 1945. We hope everyone who is holding one has a fantastic time with their neighbours. Thanks to all those who have organised them for their streets.

On Monday the residents of Ashfield Way held a VE Day Street Party, coming together to share food and friendship. Residents who were alive on VE day shared their memories. Children enjoyed games and craft activities and planted sunflower seeds. Everyone had a wonderful time.

Our first public living room is running outside of Lewsey Community Centre. Pop along for a cuppa, biscuit and a chat with neighbours. No agenda. No set themes to discuss. Just an opportunity to connect. This is part of our citizen activation month funded by @TNLComFund

Lullington close also held their street party on Saturday for VE Day. Neighbours enjoyed singing old songs, sharing food and each other's company. Since covid they meet each Saturday outside the flats under a gazebo for a cuppa together.

@BasitMahmood91 @networkrail @MarySeacoleHA This is a new project and the next stage is talking to families to help shape the programme from the backgrounds he had been speaking about. We need to move from assumption to testing the hypothesis.

@BasitMahmood91 @networkrail Clare reminds us all that we need to always consider our mental health as much as our physical health. They employ 35 people from a mile and half of their site. Building local employment but being a compassionate employer to. The Marsh Farm community looks after us &;includes us.

@BasitMahmood91 @networkrail We meet their physical, medical and support needs of the young people. The oldest grandparent we have is 89 looking after her 6ft2 grandchild. Carers were coming in at 5pm to put him to bed. We've changed that so he has a life and she is supported.
