The weather is perfect for this year’s Plymouth Ice Festival at Kellogg Park. Carvers are braving the cold, putting the finishing touches on the 150 sculptures of all shapes and sizes. My favorites are Jared Goff and Jahmyr Gibbs, a dinosaur, and the Statue of Liberty. @WWJ950

The cold isn't just causing water main breaks. Potholes are being reported across Metro Detroit, including on 12 Mile between Farmington and Haggerty in Farmington Hills. The Road Commission for Oakland County is working through the cold to fill them. 📹: WWJ's Luke Sloan

Breaking news. Gushing water from a water main break has frozen over in Detroit near Denby High School. The break is on Britain and Laing, near Whittier and Morang. Some cars had to be towed out. Some pipes in the area are over 100 years old. 📸 WWJ's Charlie Langton

Here at the Tail Waggers animal wellness center in Livonia, their motto is “helping people help pets.” Now they need your help, after flooding caused over 20 thousand dollars of damage. The center is back open, caring for dogs and cats, but repairs have just begun. @WWJ950

It’s called the "Drone as a First Responder program." The drones will be sent to the scene before officers arrive. The drone will show responding departments a live feed of the incident. The tech expected to launch this spring.

New information on our breaking story overnight: Warren Police say a 3-year-old boy is in stable condition after shooting himself with an unsecured gun. It happened around 11 p.m. at an apartment complex near 10 Mile and Hoover. Police are interviewing the family. @WWJ950
