Wrapping up 2023 with a reflection on the bands & artists I’ve seen live this year. 81 in total at mainly small venues in the Midlands, Sheffield, Scunthorpe, Stockton and Wigan. Not always easy with 2 kids and a full time job but worth every second and every penny ❤️

When we turned 30 in 2011, Tim and I made a plan to save £60 a month to save up for a holiday of a lifetime when we hit 40.
It’s taken us 12 years but we are finally here on a 3 week adventure in California, Arizona and Nevada and so far it’s everything we hoped it would be 😍

2022 has been my favourite year for music so far. I’ve been lucky enough to see these 60 bands/artists live this year. No stadiums- all at small/medium sized venues in Brum, Cov, Leicester, Leeds, Derby, Paris and Amsterdam.
Best of all I’ve made some amazing gig friends 🖤

The last 4 months of 2021 have been some of the best of my life 😍 Going to a gig a week has done wonders for my mental health. I’ve found so many awesome bands/artists in 2021 and met some amazing people at gigs & on Twitter!

Big respect to the guy at the gig last night who saw 2 young women being verbally abused by a man stood behind them in the crowd and positioned himself between them so they could enjoy the rest of the show without being hassled.

Today we drove on Highway 1 to Big Sur. Trekked up to Pfeiffer Falls, drove back through Carmel and then spent the afternoon at Monterey Bay Aquarium. Now enjoying the sunshine on our terrace, recharging our batteries before tomorrow’s long drive to LA to stay with my big sis ❤️

This time last year I would never have imagined being brave enough to go to gigs on my own, but I’ve done quite a few in 2022 partly down to the comfort of knowing that music fans from the Twitter community will be there ❤️
