Congratulations to #UMNWTL ‘s latest Dr, Eric Beaudette! Eric’s dissertation dealt with modeling sizing systems to account for applied pressure, and investigating the impacts of garment anchoring on accuracy of strain sensing. A deep dive into the complexity of wearable sensing!

This year's projects: a redesigned comms cap with bone conduction audio; a bellows-based wearable exercise system; a force-sensing glove for EVA suit biomechanical assessment; a compostable menstrual garment; and a soft robotic self-tightening bra!
