For Press to Play McCartney wanted to hire a bassist. In the end, he played his Yamaha BB-1200. “When he was overdubbing the bass, he was worried it wasn’t good enough”, Hugh Padgham said. More in the book “Press to Play: That Unmistakable 80s Sound” https://t.co/2fuoxg4Q3O

McCartney’s new course for Press to Play included a songwriting partnership with Eric Stewart, who had worked with him since 1981. Linda suggested him lending a hand in writing some songs. All in the book “Press to Play: That Unmistakable 80s Sound” https://t.co/2fuoxg4Q3O

Probably the boldest move of Paul McCartney’s career, “Press to Play” is an album to be seriously studied, built on layers, instruments and ideas. Take a trip into the sonic delights of the album in the book “Press to Play, That Unmistakable 80s Sound”! https://t.co/2fuoxg4Q3O

“Days We Left Behind” is the first Paul McCartney song that anticipates the album The Boys of Dungeon Lane, out on 29 May. It’s an incredibly emotional piece, gentle and nostalgic. Get some tissues ready, I’ve warned you… A big thank you Paul. https://t.co/Jaw7RXpQkA

Since a few hours, it seems that we have the cover & the title of Paul McCartney's new album, expected to be announced on Friday: THE BOYS OF DUNGEON LANE. Dungeon Lane is a place in Liverpool, mentioned by Paul in his song "In Liverpool" (1988). Will it be a concept album?
