It was a pleasure to perform my constitutional duty and swear in the newest additions to the provincial legislature: Tara Sawyer, MLA for Olds-Didsbury-Three Hills; Gurtej Brar, MLA for Edmonton Ellerslie; and Naheed Nenshi, MLA for Edmonton Strathcona. Congratulations to all 3!

Canada’s respected position in matters of international diplomacy and policy-setting is the result of the research being done at places like @caglobalaffairs. Yesterday I recognized this important work by awarding King Charles III Coronation Medals to 10 outstanding CGAI members.

Thank you to the Ismaili Council for the Prairies and to every single volunteer for hosting such a wonderful Stampede Breakfast this weekend. Thank you Calgary for bringing community together once again at this year’s memorable Stampede!

I was delighted to attend the Genesis Centre Stampede Breakfast where community members, young and old enjoyed the food, activities, comaraderie and weather! Thank you to everyone who volunteered to make this such an inclusive and vibrant event.

What a thrill to be included in @EdifyEdmonton's "Favourite Things" issue. In a city with so many incredible shops and cultural events, it was impossible to choose just one "favourite" but Symphony Under the Sky is an especially treasured family tradition.

Best known as the co-founder of the world-class Spruce Meadows equestrian park, Margaret Southern has profoundly shaped business, education and community life in Alberta. While at Spruce Meadows on Saturday, I was proud to present her with the King Charles III Coronation Medal.

Thank you to ATCO and the Southern family for hosting the Military Families Appreciation day, Feu de Joie and. QE II Cup at Spruce Meadows this weekend. Our gratitude to our women and men in uniform for their service , and to their families. whose sacrifices do not go unnoticed.

As I watched the Calgary Stampede Parade this morning, it was heartwarming to see so many different groups organizations and communities who make up our great province. Our diversity is indeed our strength!

This year's Calgary Stampede Parade was as thrilling a spectacle as ever. So much fun to join the 300,000 other spectators cheering on the opening of The Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth!

Thank you to Councillor Gian Carlo-Carra for including me in the Calgary Barn Burner event celebrating HMCS Calgary’s 30th Anniversary. The Calgary has been a floating ambassador for defence and diplomacy. Sincere gratitude to all who have been part of its legacy.

I wished the young athletes and volunteers heading to Dubai for the Global Encounters Festival a successful trip. They will be taking the beautiful lanterns known as faanoos along with them as a symbol of hope and global unity. I am sure they will all make Canada proud.

For decades, Vivian Manasc has been a leading figure in the field of architecture. With each building she has designed, our province has become a better place to live, and I was pleased to recognize her accomplishments with the King Charles III Coronation Medal.

Finally, we attended the Council of India Societies of Edmonton’s Canada Day celebration showcasing the strength and spirit of so many communities in our province. Thank you to all organizers of all events for making Canada Day 2025 so special!

From there, we got to witness over 50 Canadians take their citizenship oath at the QEII Building. A moving ceremony and a true honour to be on hand to welcome them to our Canadian family.
