We need to do better for our older patients. 10 reps each of standard seated exercises is lazy prescription. Where’s the individualisation? Where’s the challenge? If someone can stand and walk, what’s the point? We can do better than this. We should do better than this.
Now it’s personal .Tell me how is this going to build strength?.My dad can do 25 sit to stands with weighted backpack. @locala Please let me come and do some training with you. We need to better exercise prescription, for patients but also to improve efficiency and economics

Really pleased that #Physiotherapy students at @TeesUniSHLS get an intro to BPPV as part of a wider falls prevention session. A national roll out would be fantastic, supported by lecturers with the right knowledge and experience 👌🏻.
Yes, yes, yes! Really important research recognising the importance of vestibular assessment in older adults. This suggestion was presented to @thecsp at ARC this year by @acpivr and it'd be great to see it put into action.

There’s no consensus on protein intake for #sarcopenia but, when exercising, 1.2g protein per kg is recommended. How many of our older adults in rehab achieve this? 🤔 Really interesting talk from @NJCoxGeriDoc @GeriSoc #BGSconf
