Green Party can no longer claim to be a left of centre party. We had a chance of real change for the first time in this country after the election but the Greens blew it. Eamon Ryan is as much a careerist politician as Micheal Martin #pfg

Lisa Chambers on RTE Radio has just referred to 'the land border we share with another country'. Not surprising to hear the Taoiseach rule out a border poll when this is their attitude to the north and the people there.

It's been really sickening watching our local politicians in Galway rush out to condemn the students in the city last night. There's no excuse for what happened, but I saw none of the same politicians in such a hurry to condemn golfgate, if they did at all. Total opportunists

Just to clarify the point I was trying to make here - I was highlighting the fact that SF dismissed Barry’s views because of his background. No one should have their views dismissed because of their race, gender or social class. That’s all

This week we have a massive opportunity to push for the reopening of the Western Rail Corridor. If you haven't already you can make a submission to the All Island Rail Review in support of the rail line here:

@OkeeffeLynn We certainly wouldn't go into coalition with Fianna Fáil if the current PFG is what was offered. It won't address the issues in health, housing, cost of living or even the climate crisis. Greens should know better after the last time ye were in government

Bono talking about injustice and pretending to care about the homeless on the late late show is so sickening. The man doesn't even pay tax in Ireland. His tax bill alone would probably pay for a few thousand houses and almost solve the housing crisis #LateLateShow

With Sean Canney voting confidence in the Government today we effectively have 3 Government TDs in Galway East. Sean can't rail against Government failures week after week and continuously support them in the Dáil. We need change and we need a General Election.

Good turnout at the Galway Cost of Living rally today. Clear message from today was that people are struggling and need action now, not in 4 months time. Government need to start listening and ease the pressure.

Standing on the picket line outside Lisk in Gort to show solidarity with workers there who are on strike today. We fully support the workers calls for Lisk to respect the Labour Court ruling and negotiate with SIPTU to improve the conditions for workers there.

Fantastic event in Tuam today. No more reports or analyses are needed - the Western Rail Corridor is vital to the future of the West of Ireland and must be reopened without delay.
