Felix responds that when the University works with the MSA they ought to be commended, because if we constantly condemn them they may not work with us. Paul raises that the 24/7 study space was not an easy win, and required raising at every meeting.

Jay (C&S) speaks to the importance of having 24/7 spaces on campus. Max (ESJ OB) is in support of 24/7 study spaces, but warns against congratulating ourselves for wins the university is amenable. The MSA should be fighting for actual concessions from the University.

Pavan (Observer) too proclaims his support for 24/7 study spaces. Praises the study space and the relief it provides for students. However, the expansion needs to be accessible.

We now move to the final motion, calling for an expanded 24/7 Matheson Library. Felix moves the motion, proclaiming his support for 24/7 libraries. Paul (Ed(Ac)) seconds the motion, highlighting the room for improvement in 24/7 libraries at Monash.

The motion is put to a vote and is carried with 13 votes in favour.

Pavan (Observer) speaks in favour of motion, highlighting experiences of international students in Australia as well. Madi (Ed(Pub)) also speaks in favour of the motion, highlighting the ongoing weaponisation of international students and migrants.

Tyra (Treasurer) seconds the motion, speaking to the impact of a unit that was changed from conducting fieldwork in Hawaii to the Cook Islands changing the duration of the trip without changing the financial burden.

We're now on the pentultimate motion which condemns US policies affecting international students. Lana (POC OB) moves the motion, speaking briefly to the current state of the US, and the effects that has on Monash students.
