I have 14k emails in my inbox and my goal for the end of 2022 is to have 0. After trying to go through them, I've come up with a better solution: Delete them all! I haven't felt such happiness in a long time :-) #thread 🧵

The lesson: I spent so much of 2022 answering emails and even so, I couldn’t keep up. New rule: Spend no more than 1 hour a day on emails, and whatever doesn’t get replied to, gets deleted *that day.* Life balance is more important than any email could be. #2023Goals

@LoriGottlieb1 I have done this - if it’s really important they will email again. If you need to can always search the deleted folder

@LoriGottlieb1 I have 27K in my inbox right now. Most of them could be deleted, but there are many I need to keep. The thought of even starting to go them is daunting. 🙄

@LoriGottlieb1 What I always say to the team is that email is someone else’s priority for your time. You are in charge of your time and the emails you respond to/ how quickly you respond are choices

@LoriGottlieb1 This makes me sad. Maybe hire an assistant? people were reliant on you. You put your self out there with your book and social media posts...The worst thing you can do to a person is to just dismiss them
