Itโs my birthdayโฆ I made another trip around the sun! โ๏ธ๐ฅณ๐๐
A quick thought: Growing up, I always heard adults say on their birthdays that they wished they were younger. At 40, they wanted to be 30. At 50, they wanted to be 40 (or, โ39โ).

It confused me that they didnโt appreciate being 40 until they were 50, or being 50 until they were 60. Then they wished they could be the age theyโd hated being when they actually HAD been that age!

Itโs a *privilege* to make it to another birthday. Not a single one of us can take our lives (or the lives of our loved ones) for granted.
The age you are *right now* is a gift, not something to bemoan.

I donโt want my son growing up believing that only young life is worthy.
Instead, on our birthdays, letโs ask ourselves, what are we going to *do* with our good fortune of being alive?
For my bday, do me a favor: appreciate yourself today + hug the people you love.๐โค๏ธ

If you bombard Earth with enough photons from the sun, eventually it emits Lori Gottlieb, a someone we can talk to.
Happy Birthday! ๐

Happy birthday! Do something super fun. My kiddos were just singing last night: "yom huledet sameach" which is sung in Hebrew to the same tune as the traditional happy birthday song. You are essentially a Christmas baby! Happiness can be fleeting, wholeness if better. Enjoy!
