Bethesda development boss Todd Howard ruled out moving the action of Fallout away from the United States, saying the “Americana naivete” informs so much of the game series' tone.
Good lord, let people bloody enjoy things. Fallout 4 is a great starting point for new Fallout players.
This condescending, holier-than-thou shtick is getting real old.
We still don't know which Fallout New Vegas ending is considered "canon" in light of the Fallout show, but I really, really hope they figure out a way to keep Mr. House alive.
Why is Baldur's Gate 3's success being weaponized against Starfield? Us RPG nerds should want BOTH games to succeed, so more money and time is continually invested into the genre.
This isn't a zero-sum game.
This needs to be clarified after the Fallout show.
They did NOT say, for absolute certain, that Vault-Tec dropped the bombs first. They had the idea, but that's not definitive proof.
For one, why would Barb let her daughter be so far away from a vault when the bombs fell?
The Brotherhood of Steel:
"Militant, quasi-religious fanatics obsessed with hoarding Pre-War technology".
- Robert House, 2281
I think they're adapting the games JUST fine.
This Fallout New Vegas story has got to be one of the biggest falsehoods that people continue to believe.
It has been corrected multiple times by people directly involved. The fact that some continue to perpetuate this web of lies just to shit on Bethesda is poor form.
Daily reminder that Obsidian had to get an 85 Metacritic score for Fallout: New Vegas on PC to get paid the total amount by Bethesda.
They missed by 1 point, largely because of bugs that they were not able to patch out by release because Bethesda rushed them
Fuck Bethesda.
What if I was to tell you that you can enjoy The Outer Worlds AND still be excited for Starfield?
Stop pitting Bethesda and Obsidian against each other ffs.
The Elder Scrolls: Skyblivion, a complete remake of Oblivion in the Skyrim Engine by the TESRenewal modding group, releasing in 2025.
Just. Incredible.
Can I be honest? I'm so close to being done with PC gaming. There ALWAYS has to be issues with games. Nothing is ever simple.
Console gaming might not look as good or have super high frame rate, but it's more consistent and involves less troubleshooting. Plug and play.
RoboCop is beautifully ugly if that makes sense. It perfectly depicts places you would never want to actually visit. It's the first UE5 game I've played which consistently impressed me with its scenery, though.
Wyrdsong is a new game, coming from ex-Bethesda and Obsidian devs that worked on Fallout 3/4/76/New Vegas, Skyrim, Outer Worlds & Dragon Age: Inquisition.
A fantasy adventure set in Portugal during the Middle Ages, the game also draws inspiration from Elden Ring.
Call me a fanboy all you want, but the fact people are screaming out for Elder Scrolls 6 on the daily shows that no company makes open world RPG games quite like Bethesda Game Studios
I appreciate why there are loads of articles on which Fallout 4 mods to install right now, but please, public service announcement:
Now is the WORST time to be modding Fallout 4. Wait for next week's next-gen update. Otherwise many of your mods just stand to break.
Being able to buy the entire Fallout franchise for just $55.55 USD / $85.06 AUD is incredible.
There really is no better time to get into Fallout. Everybody is welcome in the wasteland.
That this could be seen as a negative thing is so weird to me.
Modders deserve recognition for what they do and they're exactly the people who should be working in the industry.
This is a W by Bethesda.
When games like Marvel's Avengers, Anthem etc lose dev support not that long after launch, yet Fallout 76 still gets support coming up on 5 years, it's only fair to give Bethesda kudos.
The game/content isnt perfect (Ive been critical of it recently too), but they're still at it
It frustrates me when people criticize Bethesda because "they rely on people to fix their games with mods".
It's beyond me how Bethesda letting players mod could be seen as negative. They literally give us the tools to customise their games the way we want. That's a GREAT thing.
The creator of Fallout, Tim Cain, revealed on his YouTube channel that the TRUE purpose of the Vaults was to run experiments of technology needed to build a spaceship (cryogenics, water purification, etc), that would allow The Enclave to escape Earth after nuclear war.
WOW.
Let's be real for a second.
Being a YouTuber or streamer can be the most mentally draining shit. Constant anxiety. Stressing over numbers. Money worries. Working for crazy hours. Dealing with abuse daily.
We should all just fucking be kind to each other.
LMAOOOOOO,
@primevideoaunz
sent me a bloody hand like the one held by CX404 in the Fallout show.
This might be one of the best pieces of merch I've ever received 😂

Here is the reality:
The Fallout 76 community is thriving. There is a lot of positivity for all the new quality of life changes. We have an exciting 2021 ahead.
There is no better time to jump in and give the game a go.
Todd looks so damn passionate talking about Starfield. Creatively, I think Bethesda Game Studios needed to develop something completely brand new. A fresh start.
I cannot wait to play this damn game.
It's with huge sadness I announce that I'm no longer working at Bethesda.
This was a dream job. I received the opportunity to work with great people, my favourite games & the wonderful Bethesda community.
In this video, I talk about what's next for me.
The "stick to video games" folks are riddled in the quote retweets for this.
I'll never not respect Bethesda for taking a stand and making statements in times like this, even though they know full well what kind of backlash they'll get.
Reproductive rights are human rights.
Fam, Bethesda cannot shadow drop Starfield. It's not a digital only release. There's a collector's edition and probably a disc. Unless they manage to secretly distribute it to retailers globally without a single leak, they'll need to announce a date first & then ship everything.
