What do we mean when we say 'sperm concentration'? Well, it refers to the number of sperm cells found per millilitre of a semen sample. The WHO 2021 states that 16 million sperm per ml or more is considered normal, and anything less than this would be suboptimal.

What does 'motility' mean? We use this word a lot when talking about the quality of a sample - it refers to the sperm's ability to move forward in a straight direction. Normal motility range is around 40%, and you must meet or exceed this to become a donor at #londonspermbank!
