If Kentucky lands Scott Drew, I like his 2024 recruiting class he has at Baylor.
5-star SG VJ Edgecombe
4-star PG Rob Wright (No. 2 PG)
4-star Jason Asemota (mentored by Terrence Clarke, wears No. 5 in his honor)
N/R C Noah Boyed - 7'0", 240-pound prospect
Kentucky has a good/great chance to land:
- Amari Williams, 3-time CAA DPOY
- Great Osobor, MW POTY
- TJ Bamba, 5th-year SR that played at WSU and Nova
Could all be very solid pickups
Excited to announce I am transferring to the University of Kentucky for my graduate season. I know what it means to wear Kentucky across my chest and couldn’t be more ready to get to work!! Go Cats!💙

Wonder what this rotation would look like.

Some players that would fit well in Mark Pope’s offense:
Reed Sheppard
Jaxson Robinson (BYU)
BJ Freeman (Milwaukee)
Liam McNeeley (HS)
Robbie Avila (Indiana St)
Zvonimir Ivisic
NEWS: Wake Forest transfer Andrew Carr has committed to Kentucky, he told ESPN. The 6-foot-11 big man averaged 13.5 points and 6.8 rebounds shooting 37% for 3 this season. Adds size, skill and versatility to Kentucky's roster. Also testing NBA draft waters.
I REALLY want to know what on earth John Calipari and his staff have been doing since the clock hit zero vs Kansas State.
Right now, it doesn’t seem like they’ve been doing much. And if they’ve been TRYING?
That’s a major problem.
This is why I don't like teams like Missouri, South Carolina, and Vanderbilt. They play extremely physical, put you on the free throw line, and hope the officials don't call half of the fouls they should.
It makes the pacing of the game extremely choppy and awful to watch.
Mark Pope's CURRENT ROSTER:
Lamont Butler (SDSU)
Travis Perry (4-Star)
Collin Chandler (4-Star)
Otega Oweh (Oklahoma)
Koby Brea (Dayton)
Andrew Carr (Wake Forest)
Amari Williams (Drexel)
Brandon Garrison (Oklahoma St)
Wow.
You need one more power forward, and one more guard.
Fun little note about Samford transfer Achor Achor:
He shot 65% at the rim (66% FGA) which is solid...
But he also shot 65% on right break THREES (8% FGA)
That's insane
Kentucky's two commitments today:
Kerr Kriisa
- 42.4% from three
- 75% eFG in catch-and-shoot situations (99th percentile)
Koby Brea
- 49.8% from three
- 83% eFG in catch-and-shoot situations (100th percentile)
Wow! Top 50 on our first day. You guys rock. Thanks so much for listening/rating/reviewing/subscribing. Be sure to share with others who will enjoy a daily Kentucky podcast.
BOOM! Dayton guard Koby Brea, the nation's best three-point shooter, is transferring to Kentucky!
Brea made 100 threes last season at a 49.8% clip. 🔥🔥

Sources close to John Calipari say he had bad feelings about his situation at Kentucky, and that the lack of support had grown to the point where he didn’t feel like he could stay on because he didn’t feel wanted. The assets Arkansas put in place convinced him to make this move.
Everyone is excited about Mark Pope's new offense at Kentucky right?
I decided to sit down to talk with someone that's actually coached against it.

is now LIVE on YouTube:
I’m going so be so sad if Antonio Reeves is forgotten about years from now
Didn’t receive All-American honors when he should have.
Decided to stay, work hard and developed into a true NBA guard this off-season.
Had an excellent, excellent year
Hate for him to go out like this
So If Kentucky now has:
Andrew Carr
Amari Williams
Brandon Garrison
…Can UK still get Osobor? Would Garrison just take a backseat to Osobor’s minutes/Let Osobor play some at PF?
NEWS: BYU's Jaxson Robinson will enter the transfer portal, he told ESPN.
Robinson, also testing the NBA draft waters, will consider returning to BYU, as well as Kentucky, in addition to the NBA and other college options.
STORY:
Here's UK lineup (so far) under Pope:
C: Amari Williams (Drexel)
PF: Andrew Carr (Wake)
SF: Otega Oweh (Oklahoma)
SG: Collin Chandler (top-40 frosh)
PG: Lamont Butler (SDSU)
UK meeting with Great Osobor (Utah State) this weekend, will visit with Koby Brea (Dayton) Tuesday.
Mark Pope seems extremely likable. He doesn’t have the accolades that other candidates do, but he seems awesome.
I’ll study up on his offense, because it was art over the last few years at BYU.
Kentucky quarterback

land Great Osobor AND Amari Williams?
There's a pretty good chance they will.

Today's episode of Locked On Kentucky is premiering LIVE on YouTube:
Kentucky just landed Koby Brea and Kerr Kriisa, two of the best players in the transfer portal.
We're talking about it. My thoughts on Brea, Kriisa, and the entire roster are premiering LIVE on YouTube:
The team lacks confidence. They have no rhythm in the halfcourt offense.
I said it was a bad matchup going in, and it sure was.
Guys, there is no “until this team figures it out” this season. This is what we have.
The SEC slate is going to be brutal. Absolutely brutal.
Really, really like this potential roster, I’d just have a hard time believing Robinson would wanna come back to college just to come off of the bench again
Maybe you swap him at PF with Carr or someone else in the portal? IDK though
This literally changes every single day for me but:
PG: Deivon Smith, Utah
SG: Aidan Mahaney, St. Mary’s
SF: Koby Brea, Dayton
PF: Andrew Carr, Wake Forest
C: Great Osobor, Utah State
6th: SG Jaxson Robinson, BYU
7: C Amari Williams, Drexel
8: PF TJ Power, Duke
9: G/F Richie…
