Hon’ble Supreme Court has also called the Manipur situation “unprecedented”. It is high time PM Modi steps into the Parliament makes a detailed statement on Manipur, and follow his Raj Dharma. 3/3.

Modi Govt is deliberately agreeing for a Short Duration Discussion under Rule 176. This discussion cannot exceed two and a half hours, which would allow opposition parties to get only a few minutes each, whereas the ruling BJP will get almost two hours. 2/3.

A delegation of INDIA parties shall meet the President of India, today. We will brief her on the situation on Manipur, after the visit of our MPs in state. Given the sensitivity of the Manipur issue, we demand a discussion under Rule 267 which is followed by voting. 1/3

INDIA stands with Manipur. If PM Modi has any ounce of Constitutional propriety left, then he will make an elaborate statement on the violence in Manipur since May 3rd. No amount of whataboutery and false equivalence shall work in the case of Manipur violence.
