3. Props to Timothy Cheruiyot, the 2019 champion is back at the top of the sport. 4. What a run from Robert Farken after looking done in the semi-final. 5. Laros left his best at the Diamond League Final, gutted for him but he’s a superstar who will be a serious problem in 2026.

My thoughts on that 1500m final: 1. No one had Nader winning that, which makes me happy because everyone has a shot if you give yourself a shot. 2. Last year I thought Jake was done, I didn’t see him qualifying for the team from where he was at BUT, I am in absolute awe of him.

It’s interesting to me that for the past three years or so, how many athletics fans that aren’t happy with *some* of the current line up of British and American commentators and/or interviewers. I think that if current fans are finding it hard to engage, then new fans will too.

Gutted for MHS, must be carrying a niggle or had some setback recently but also a new father too to contend with, he’s too good to be that off of it. I hope he recoups, rests up and comes back on his terms.

Good for the sport.
What Mondo Duplantis has done to pole vault is crazy. Here I am, on a monday afternoon, watching a sport I never really cared about before, knowing since the beginning he would get the gold, just to see him try the WR again. He's one of the best sportsman ever, for sure.
