Q5: I find it interesting that this study combined stage III AND IV ovarian cancer patients, while typically oncologic clinical trials separate metastatic and nonmetastatic patients--might be interesting to see how the data shakes out in the separate populations #HOJournalClub

A3: I think an important adverse event was the development of AML in 1% of the study population—this correlates to the 2% incidence of AML/MDS in SOLO2–while an overall rare event shouldn’t be discounted #HOJournalClub

A1: RE: follow-up duration—the study was planned to continue until 206 pts met the primary endpoint to meet adequate power, but was amended to 196 pts because the rate of primary end points (PFS) was lower than expected (probably because olaparib had such efficacy) #HOJournalClub
