Between rewriting my query a dozen times, editing my current book, and writing two new ones, I now have as many Word documents open as tabs on my web browser.

I started writing out of a sibling rivalry at age 10. Twenty years later and we're both still writing, though with less rivalry.
I started journaling as a therapy technique when I was probably 13 and never really stopped. I was already a voracious reader and maybe that's why it felt so natural. That said, I didn't start writing fiction until about 5 years ago. Why did you start writing @AlessSpaulding

I finished War and Peace. I feel like this is equivalent to climbing Mount Everest in the reading world.

Me: "writing is hard." My shoulder demon: "Just start a new project!"

I should invest in learning magic to figure out how to fit all the information I'm supposed to include in a query letter into 250 words.

One of the coolest things they had at the Frankenstein exhibit was actually an original 1818 publication of the book (500 copies made) and a presentation copy Mary Shelley personally inscribed to Lord Byron

I think that the coolest part of #questpit was seeing all the cool novels that everyone else is working on. It's so encouraging to know that there are such talented creators making the world a more awesome place!

There's something about Fall weather, especially, that makes me want to sit down with a warm cup of tea in front of a typewriter and bring my story to life. No, I don't have a typewriter, but the aesthetic me of imagination does.
