This is an important lesson. When it’s hot out your pace is going to be slower. Your LT pace at 95% humidity is not the same as your LT pace in ideal conditions. Running the same pace in 95% humidity would mean you aren’t running an LT workout.
this morning i ran 16x 1000m @ 3:23’s on 60 sec rest. it was 75° w/ 95% humidity outside. the pace i ran for the reps was slower than my marathon pace . i can’t expect my body to perform in july heat like it can in november . i got better today.

For our last Friday practice before the 4th of July break, we travelled to Herrick Lake in Wheaton to get our long runs in. Everyone ran the furthest distance they have run all summer. Nice job, everyone, and have a great week of sleeping in! @LisleLionsAD
