The HISA Equine Recovery Foundation is an important step in giving more racehorses the chance to recover from career-ending injuries. I’m grateful to everyone helping build this effort to strengthen care, prevention and long-term welfare across our sport.

This review is an important step toward greater clarity and consistency for everyone who depends on these systems. I appreciate all those who will share their insight throughout the process; real progress is made when we build solutions together.

I appreciate the continued progress reflected in HISA’s Q3 Metrics Report. Advancing safety requires discipline, transparency and a shared commitment to doing what’s right for our horses. There is much work ahead, but these trends show what’s possible when we pull together.
