Sometimes it’s better to win when not playing well, than to win playing well. As then when you play well, you are sorted. Somehow I still managed to play without losing a set, but am grateful of the fact that I can still scrape wins when not playing well 🏸

Another brilliant performance by Lisa Curtin, winning GOLD in the GS* at the @BadmintonEnglnd u17 Gold in MK. Wasn’t seeded even though she’s European U15 Silver medallist. Didn’t drop a set on her way to GOLD @WebberIndie

I played the @BadmintonEnglnd MK U17 Gold this weekend, and I won the Gold Star without dropping a set. I won my box comfortably, and then in the semis I faced Estelle winning 21-12 21-18. In the final I played Sophia Noble from Ireland and won 21-8 21-11 @Mk_Allstars

Day 1 of French International over, had a bye in singles so I have singles to play tomorrow. In mixed doubles we lost to a fellow English pair, but two years above my age 21-15 21-17. Then in doubles, we played a very long and tiring 56 minute game against no.2 Belgian seeds😊

Well done to both of my girls, Lisa & Gauri who got to the final of the Hampshire Senior Silver GS. Lisa just coming out on top this time 22-20 in the third. Great game. Both showing improvements @WebberIndie @YONEXBADMTON_UK

Really happy with how I played in the Hampshire Senior Silver today, played 4 games, 3 of which were very hard fought 3 setters. Improvements are clear and managed to win the tournament, battling hard against partner Gauri in the final, winning 21-17, 20-22, 22-20.

14 and a half hours of training over these past 4 days, working on change of movement speed and recovery, some net skills, and also sparring ready for Hampshire Senior tomorrow 🙂

Nice to start off the new season with a fresh partner, Gauri Shidhaye, at u19 Silver Webber tournament yesterday, winning gold 🥇 looking forward to seeing where we go from here, and preparing for u17 French International in two weeks 💪
