It’s time to find compassion for boys and men. A shift in public perspective is overdue, and progress can accelerate if women—particularly those with liberal values—champion this cause, because the future isn’t female: The future is everyone. New from me for the @latimes 🙌

Male suicides rose by 5% while female suicides fell by 2% last year in Australia. All nations need to find better solutions to address the male suicide crisis.

The viral “May I meet you?” conversation got me thinking. I want to share this with all the young men who are working on their confidence and may be reading my posts: After some reflection and conversations with friends, I've come to realize that one quality women often find

My friend @mattlewis wrote this very informative piece for the @latimes. The disappearances of Native American girls and women receives little media attention, barely registering in public consciousness. Native American men go missing at high rates as well, but the media

We must respect freedom to choose and shouldn't force career choices on anyone, but when it comes to men in HEAL fields, we need to promote understanding and equal opportunity. The stakes transcend equity; it's about necessity. Having female engineers is great, but having male

When people started sounding the alarm that the vaccine was harming boys and young men at a higher rate, we were dismissed as anti-vaxxers and even pick-mes. Now it’s being revealed that it was the case. Shameful. We should have done more to protect our boys and young men who
Covid vaccines kill children. We will never know the whole truth—how many were deemed an acceptable sacrifice, how many have suffered irreversible harm, how this was forced onto a fearful public. Covid shots off the market for everyone, now.

I just read something interesting. Over the holidays, the suicide rate is lower and steady, but then on New Year’s Day, just after the holidays end, there’s a sharp increase in male suicide. This shows that over the holiday season, it’s crucial to check in on your loved ones.

Boys and men have been neglected and mistreated for decades. We’re seeing the consequences today, and things must change. A shift in public perspective is overdue, and progress can accelerate if women champion this cause, because the future isn’t female… the future is everyone.

I experience online harassment, but it’s mostly from other women. No mention of that sort of abuse, or any mention of the online abuse men face. I think the UN needs to be more inclusive when discussing online harassment.
Online safety: between 16% and 58% of women globally report experiencing online violence or harassment. Recognize digital abuse signs and learn how protect yourself👉 https://t.co/UCfm8AKreQ

So, maybe we need to value unpaid labor more… and when I say “value,” I mean with our hearts and minds, not our wallets.
"Contrary to widespread belief, when you consider both paid and unpaid labor, fathers and mothers do similar amounts of work. In fact, on average, fathers do slightly more." [Link below.]

Can men ‘HEAL’ society? In a world that's quick to celebrate women breaking barriers in male dominated fields, we're overlooking a crisis that's quietly unraveling the fabric of our communities: we don't have enough male teachers shaping our boys, male therapists guiding men’s

I went to my stepfather’s sister’s house for Thanksgiving. Her husband was the cook of their family, always making extravagant meals. But he had two strokes this year, is in a wheelchair, and things are pretty rough at the moment. So his son stepped up. At 23, he cooked the

A lot of people only highlight the bad some men do while ignoring the good that most men do. I believe if we highlight the good more, society would have more appreciation and compassion for men, and there would be less of the bad that some men do.

The holidays can be rough for men whose families have fallen apart, especially those who are in the ‘separated’ zone. Men who are separated are far more likely to die by suicide. If you have a friend going through a hard time, reach out today and let him know you care, and if

Of all the years of posting, I don’t think I’ve ever received as many hateful messages from a post than I have over this one. Isn’t that sad? It must have triggered something…
Call me crazy, but I believe if more women had gratitude and showed appreciation for men rather than disdain for men, the world would be a much better place.

I believe it’s important to note that 94.6% of law enforcement officers who die in the line of duty are men. Men are our protectors, putting their lives on the line to keep us safe, and we should show more appreciation for that.
CBS: "As of October 31, there have been 285 officers shot in the line of duty, 38 of them killed. There has been 58 ambush-style attacks against members of law enforcement."

A recently published peer-reviewed article in a feminist academic journal aims to broaden conventional ideas of violence to include even the anticipation of potential harm. The researchers assert that violence doesn't need intention or an instigator, and that just existing
