In the original phrase 「オレがさせない」， actually there's no object， its meaning is closer to "I won't let you be sacrificed (by anyone)".

One big reason why I believe in aoe is that the final season gave Historia even more emphasis. For instance, they show distinctly Historia the ONLY PERSON not get frozen by Eren in the icon declaration scene.

That's because many anime studios don't have their own sound department, so they will usually entrust sound studios, in AOT's case, it's「アオイスタジオ」. In order to maximize the utilization of the schedule, 1 day will arrange one episode of AR and one episode of DB.
