Awful take this. And from someone with “UEFA A License” and “Former Footballer” in the bio.

Hi everyone, This Thursday i’ll be doing my last 5k of the month down at Linnets. Anyone’s open to run it along with me or even just to be there to support those who are running. It would mean the world to see as many people there as possible. Thank you 💛💚

A real highlight of today. Half-time entertainment with Ryan Brooke, Bayleigh Passant, and Jacques Welsh mucking about with the young Stafford juniors. That kind of kindness and fun lights up a young players day. Brilliant 💛💚 @RuncornLinnets @SRFCofficial

This is cracking interview. Just comes across as a very normal guy talking about a simple game in a simple way. No “low block” “false 9” “inverted whatever’s” He also made all his players tidy up after the game. I really liked everything about Sporting Khalsa last night.

Another one from the same era. On Grand National Day in 1980 we lost 0-2 at home to Worksop. If my calculations are correct we would win the NPL the following season, and the APL (now National League) the season after.

In April 1990 we sat 3rd in the Vauxhall Conference with 4 games to go. Darlington would go on to win the league. They were managed by Brian Little, who my Dad always said was the nicest man he ever met in the world of football.

We didn’t have him for long when you think about it. But if you picked an 11 of players who’ve left an impression and will go down in legend then Jimmy would be in it.

For me, the biggest game in the Linnets era history tomorrow. Not everyone will agree, and that’s fine. I’ve always championed cup games in an era where they seem to vanish into mediocrity a bit more each passing year. But we’ll never forget Chester 2025 will we 🏆 And my
