Me and @rikvannoord are looking for a PhD researcher (fully paid role!) for a project that combines critical discourse analysis and computational linguistics. Do you know anyone interested in authenticity, CSR and large language models? -->

Last week, we had the first podcast planning session in a while. We are still busy revising our textbook (Language in Business, Language at Work), but we will come out of hibernation soon to record a special episode on... business communication #textbooks!

@LinguaDigitalis gave such a wonderful talk yesterday about how the language we use creates our reality. Her reflections on the leaky pipeline for women in academia were especially timely, when all around me women are talking about whether we will stay or go.
As women progress higher on the academic ladder, they quietly disappear from the system. Can we really explain this leaky pipe by blaming women's personal choices? https://t.co/Tdh6QcLgca

Circling back to Voyager's cosmic journey, we can see our 'home' as a tiny "mote of dust, suspended in a sunbeam" (Carl Sagan). We are all passengers on this Tiny Blue Dot. Why can't we work together, in harmony, to make the journey as much fun as possible for all? 6/6 #equity
