I joined @IAM_Union for their rally for Amana Whirlpool workers - calling out the most recent layoffs as corporate abandonment. Iowans deserve better than pink slips and broken promises.

And just like that - we filed for Congress! I could not have turned in over 2.5K signatures without the work of so many amazing volunteers. Thank you to everyone who has taken my petition with them to their friends, family, and out on doors. I’m grateful for your support!

I am heartbroken to hear the news of the passing of Maj. Jeffrey O'Brien, another brave soldier from Iowa. Our country is indebted to him and his service. I pray for his family and loved ones this evening, and for the safety of all our soldiers in harms way.

My heart is heavy with the gutting news that Sgt. Declan Coady was killed. I offer my deepest condolences to his family & loved ones. No parent should know the pain of losing a child. Sgt. Coady & his fellow service members who lost their lives in this conflict are in my prayers.
