Tan Sri Limkokwing’s philanthropic journey started with the Malaysian Red Crescent Society in the late 60s, which saw him help build settlements for ‘Vietnamese boat people’ in Malaysia following the fall of Saigon in the mid-70s. #limkokwing50

In efforts to fight cyber-crime, Tan Sri Limkokwing's expertise extended to the Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM) with the launch of “Be Smart” – a crime prevention awareness campaign. PDRM’s website, designed by Limkokwing University won several international awards. #limkokwing50

Tan Sri Limkokwing’s filmlet “Ceasefire ‘89” was used worldwide as part of an international campaign against nuclear build-up. With the escalating violence around the world prompted, he sought to establish something permanent that would attract peacemakers from around the world.

Empowered is the training arm of Limkokwing University. While the name is clear, the design adds emphasis by adding a star at the end of the letter ‘w’. The use of the colour red for the ‘w’ as well as the star gives it strength and prominence. #limkokwing50

Tan Sri Limkokwing organised series of campaigns under the banner ‘Heal the World’ campaign. The first focused on the Plight of the Palestinians. The funds raised were channeled towards the purchase of medical supplies for the people of Gaza. #limkokwing50
